Spend Some Time With 'Portland Charter Review'

Including A Newly-Released, But Very Old, City Club Document

A couple of recent items of note over at Portland Charter Review, a companion site to this one focused on the forthcoming examination of the City Charter.

Just posted is an item on the Mayor's announcement that the Charter Review Commission is now taking applications.

More involved is the latest in a series of posts from Chris Smith, in which he's been discussing previous City Club of Portland research into the City's form of government.

"There is some news value in that City Club has just made public for the first time a document that has been locked in their archives for 16 years," Smith wrote us, "and was somewhat controversial back in 1989 when the Club chose not to publish it."
