Potential Weekend Break, Maybe (Possibly)

If We Can Commit To It, That Is

While the originally-intended Perseid-watching group camping trip apears to be dead due to a lack of transportation, and therefore what would have been a necessary albeit comparatively brief hiatus here while being offline on a mountain, we are considering taking the next several days away from this site anyway.

So this post would serve as your advance notice, should that be what we decide to do.

Since it's that money-crunched time of the month again (combined with our annual ritual of needing to question the financial viability here anyway), we had hoped that departing Portland altogether for a few days would bolster the normal mood shift which accompanies these factors.

That trip now having been tossed out the window, we're thinking it might at least be of some sort of benefit to stay away from here even though we're still in town rather than 3,000 feet above sea level watching shooting stars.

Try FlexCar! We've taken the Freedom 5 cars, for which only get charged a maximum of 5 hours per day, to go camping. It costs just $45 per day, including gas and insurance.
