JBJ Of The CCC Is SOL
And Weird Giusto Stuff, Too
We find it worth noting that today's Willamette Week reports that Jim Jeddeloh, chair of the Citizens Crime Commission seems to have gotten into some legal trouble of his own.
A prominent Portland businessman and anti-crime advocate faces a judge's restraining order on charges that he abused his wife.
Readers here might recall Jeddeloh's name from during the debate over the Joint Terrorism Task Force, when The Oregonian was abusing its op-ed responsibilities by relegating opinions contrary to its own to miniscule letters while at the same time letting Jeddeloh have an entire commentary piece which did little more than parrot the paper's own editorials.
We also find it kind of weird that, according to Willamette Week, Jeddeloh's wife, who also has filed for divorce, "is now dating Multnomah County Sheriff Bernie Giusto."
We find it weird because, as was reported in various places during the Neil Goldschmidt debacle, Giusto once was romantically linked to Goldschmidt's wife, which seems to make for a rather bizarre habit of hooking up with the wives of abusive men.
