Yet Another Reworking Of Advertising
Because If We Don't Get Advertisers Soon...
Once again, we've made some adjustments to our advertising setup here, mainly to abandon our attempt to make use only of some elements of what Blogads outputs but not others. You can see the difference already without placeholder ads.
Rather than displaying only the ad images, the headlines and copy display now as well. Mainly, it finaly dawned on us that advertisers scoping out Blogads' listings would be put off from potentially having to create entirely different ads specifically for our restrictions. Which is, simply put, a moronic business decision on part, dictated almost entirely by our design sense.
Opening it all back up to any and all potential advertisers by letting their ads here be the same ones they may be using on other blogs means an increased likelihood of, well, actually getting some advertisers.
Which is an absolutely necessity at this stage of the game. If advertisers don't come, there's a rather significant problem.
Also, we've restored the prices on our standard ads back to what they were when we relaunched having advertising, thereby revoking our other recent advertising-related post where we announced a reduction in those prices. Now that we've lifted the restrictions/limitations on ads here (meaning they are no longer image-only), and are potential avenues for a larger pool of advertisers, we're going to try putting the rates back where we had them.
That is all. Carry on.
