Yesterday, the anonymous PDX Media Insider posted their picks for what they like about Portland news. We manage to put in an appearance at the bottom of their "in no particular order" list.
b!X & BoJack in the blogsphere. I guess they're now part of the mainstream media. Sorry guys.
In the reader comments, we had this reply: "Hey it's all one stream. That's why people notice when we pee in it."
Which for some inexpicably random reason this morning, as we reread the thread, brought to mind the following infamous fictional exchange:
Whistler: ... Well, Your Highness, what I meant was that, like a doughnut, um, your arrival gives us pleasure and your departure only makes us hungry for more. (laughter) Your Highness, you are also like a stream of bat's piss.
Prince: What?
Whistler: It was one of Wilde's. One of Wilde's.
Oscar: It sodding was not! It was Shaw!
Shaw: I ... I merely meant, Your Majesty, that you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark.
Prince: (accepting the compliment) Oh.
Which of course is but a small snippet of The Oscar Wilde Sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus. As far as we can recall, this is the first time we've managed to work Monty Python into a post here.
