'Communique' Talks Burnside Bridgehead On KPOJ Tomorrow

We Love The Smell Of Controversy In The Morning

Tomorrow morning, we will be on the new local Thom Hartmann show over at AM 620 KPOJ on your radio dial.

We'll be discussing the Portland Development Commission selection of Opus Northwest as the preferred developer for the Burnside Bridgehead project. We've followed the Bridgehead story since the creation of the original Request for Proposals at meetings of the Central Eastside Urban Renewal Advisory Committee, and readers here know we have no shortage of opinion on how the process played out.

Current plans call for the segment to begin at 7:06 AM and last until about 7:15 AM, unless Thom feels the need to extend it until 7:26 AM. Much earlier than we tend to be up and about, but we expect it will be interesting to discuss this story in a different medium.

    I'll be listening!

Far too rushed for my tastes. But anyway, for those who missed it, I'll have an mp3 of it up a little later today.

Some tips: You were breathing into the mouthpiece when you weren't talking. It was pretty loud. Also, it wasn't really discussed where the project was, though one could deduce it, or that this is part of a long history at the PDC, and not just some single little neighborhood complaint. But this is the first time I've tuned in to Thom. I think it'll be part of my morning routine now.

Yeah, like I said, too rushed. Not enough time for context.

As for the breathing, that's the problem with not being able to hear myself when doing these things via telephone -- I can't tell where my mouth needs to be.
