(Updated) Hiatus, Hopefully

No One Make Any News, Please

Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.

We're going to attempt to take a much-needed breather here, and use this weekend to focus on our move from Richmond to Buckman. If the news cooperates, this may be the last post you see here until late Sunday or sometime Monday.

In the main, that should hold unless we can force some movement on either of the two stories we're pursuing which at this point simply aren't sourced enough to be able to legitimately run.

(You may, however, see some activity over here, since opening day of Major League Baseball is in two days.)

So, all you newsmakers out there, please chill out for a couple of days. We've got some serious packing to do, and hopefully some serious moving to do (if we can find gaps in the rain long enough to even bother with the latter).

Update

This hiatus continues, as we're trying to push through as much of the moving-related work as we can in one more or less continuous chain of days. We have a minor item or two we might try to post tonight sometime, but in general, we remain otherwise occupied for now.

Dammit, here I was all ready to write you off as a typical Portland leftie, and then you show your colors as a fellow Sox fan. Damn, damn, damn.

Have a good move -- I hate that whole process with a deep and abiding passion.

Well, if it makes oyu feel any better, think how confused I must have felt when I learned Schilling was a Bush supporter. Heh.

Also, I renew my plea for anyone who might have a dresser they no longer want and are willing to contribute to the cause. Heh.

FYI, for anyone following along, the first day of not being here has been extraordinarily productive on the packing front.

So powerful is this site that we appeared to have caused a trip of the tongue for Nick Fish, who accidentally thanked Portland Communique twice at the end of Outlook Portland this morning.

Guess that mind control machine I bought on eBay passed its test run.
