(Updated) Another Moving-Related Hiatus
Will This Weekend See It Through?
Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.
Likely another downtime weekend here at Portland Communique as we attempt to successfuly schedule the major push of movement into our new headquarters.
That also means there's a fair chance that at some point in the next several days, this site will be temporarily offline, as the server gets moved from the old place to the new place, which will lead to some transition time during which we wait for everything to properly resolve our domain to the new IP address.
So, if in the near future you can't seem to connect here, everything should right itself not much longer after that.
At any rate, all of that is our plan and intention for the next several days, as we are becoming rather impatient and need to simply get this move over and done with.
Update
We're into the new place. Posting will continue to be intermittent as we deal with getting thigns set up and settling in, etc.
Update
Sorry, yes, will working on final bits of the move. We're almost back in business, but just not quite yet. We're as impatient as anyone else, but once we get through tomorrow, we'll be entirely done with the old place and can start getting things back on track.

Good luck with the move!
Remember, plastic garbage bags make a perfectly acceptable last-minute packing container...not to mention those Rubbermaid tote things...

In fact, the vast bulk of my stuff has been packed and/or packed and moved in Rubbermaid Roughneck bins.
Partly because there's only one closet over there, so I'd rather have some stuff stashed along the wall in bins then in ratty ugly boxes.
The garbage bags, well, mainly those are for getting all of my laundry in to have someone else do, so I don't have to deal with that, heh.

Last night was first night in new place. Some stuff still needs moving (kitchen and bathroom supplies, mainly), and then it's done.
Server move appears to be going smoothly. In fact, if you can read this, then you're looking at the new server.

Geez, how much stuff do you have?
Quit carting around all those old issues of the Paris Review!!!!!!

It ain't about the amount of stuff. It's about the scheduling of the actual process of moving it (well, and also it's about moving not being a time to split one's attention).
