'Communique' Moving From Richmond To Buckman
Two Four Weeks Of Relocation Hell Semi-Hell Begin
As of March 3, we had been in Portland for eight years. Five of them in Creston-Kenilworth, and the last three in Richmond. Over the next two weeks, we will be moving to the previously-mentioned apartment in Buckman.
(This might, in theory, be why a new ad recently was posted new ad recently was posted for units in that building, but with the photographs changed from being of the one for which we applied to being of one of the other available units, and why the original ad was deleted.)
Due to this move, things here may be intermittent for a bit, as the bulk of our attentions shifts to the process of making this move. By this we mean the posting activity -- problems accessing the site is something we will endeavor to keep to a bare minimum.
So this is our early warning and explanation for a likely decrease in posting activity here over the next two weeks. It's been clear to us for some time that we needed to force some sort of drastic shift in our life's routine, and the opportunity to do so came earlier than expected.
This move also opens up an opportunity for those of you who have wanted to contribute or donate to Portland Communique but for whom that hasn't been a realistic option financially. If you have any extra furniture you've been wanting rid of, now might be your chance. We're especially in need of book shelves.

a friend who reads your blog passed your link onto me...
i live on the 4th floor of your new building... i've been here 3 years and i could probably give you some info you might find helpful... i wish i had read this before you signed the lease maybe our conversation might have changed your mind about living here... i hope you're not moving into #45...
if so... you need to get in touch with me... sooner rather than later... email to follow...

My question would be: If you have information you think would keep people from wanting to live there, why have you lived there for three years? That seems rather nonsensical.

Welcome to the 'hood, b!X. Hope to see you at our neighbourhood association meetings. You'll be happy to know you're in "Deep Buckman" (what I consider the best part of Buckman). Living south of Morrison, you're in the SOMO (South of Morrison) or NOBEL (North of Belmont). I myself live in SOBU (South of Burnside) or NOMO (North of Morrison).
