Self-Referential Feature Addition

As sometimes happens on slow weekends, we get to tinkering around and sometimes come across a new feature to add to this site.
Beginning this evening, thanks to the OnThisDay plugin, each and every entry here includes a section (located below the comment form, so it's accessible but out of the way) which lists the entries posted on the same calendar day, but in previous years.
Since we've been at this for a little over two years, we figured that there now is enough archived material to make adding this feature worthwhile. So as you read this or that entry, scroll down and take a look at what was going happening in Portland on that day in previous years.
