Portland Stories, Portland Architecture

A Couple Of Site Pointers

Every now and again, we nudge Stephen Voss about what could be done to try to jumpstart the occasionally moribund Portland Stories back to life. Part of the City Stories network, we've contributed a couple of stories of our own over the years since we first came across it.

Today appears to mark another attempt at kicking activity on the site into gear again. Two new stories have been posted, with the promise of more on the way. Consider this our contribution to trying to (re)call people's attention to the site.

Also, word in from one Brian Libby that he's launched Portland Architecture, a weblog about exactly what you think it's about.

We don't know much about Libby, but we make note of this here because it might be interesting over time to see another voice regularly discussing architecture in Portland in addition to Randy Gragg of The Oregonian.

Portland Stories is now listed on ORblogs, but there's no RSS feed. I know I'd tune in more often if I could be updated when new stories appear.

Thank for the shoutout, b!X, it was your e-mail that got things started again. I'd love to hear from any Communique readers who have stories to share.

    Paul, I think I'm set up RSS-wise: RSS 0.91 and RSS 1.0.

By the way, doing a view source on Portland Stories shows that it has two completely different <head> </head> sections for some reason.
