Laptop Issues Causing 'Communique' Hiatus

Bad Week On The Technical Front

Despite having a rather crucial item related to the Burnside Bridgehead to get done, we are in a bit of a hiatus for an indeterminate time.

Our roughly four-year-old laptop, in addition to having recently had its battery replaced, needs both a new hard drive and a new lid latch, and now is suffering keyboard issues. The latter issue hopefully we can somehow manage to solve before the big Bridgehead public workshop session this Saturday, but so far we have had no luck.

Obviously, if you see new material here in the next couple of days, we've gotten the keyboard problems sorted out. If you don't see such material, you'll know why.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news . . .

...the IE browser is showing your "Published on (date)" line jump into the middle of the article.

It corrects itself upon a scroll down or after a time delay (around 60 seconds) -- but it's enough to make the user consider refreshing the page -- I just thought you should know. I thought maybe it was my computer acting up...

Sorry to hear about your lap-top problems.

If it's any consolation, (to borrow old 'frames' lingo for description) -- I dont have the empty top space anymore -- the ads are showing in right and left 'frames' with your menu buttons on a bottom 'frame' now -- article in the middle. (no 'upper frame' at all) I hope I didnt confuse you?

I like the new type face much better too -- and the new live comment preview feature as well.

I take it back -- it doesnt correct itself after awhile -- the dateline just doesnt skip into the article once you click to comment.

Is the dateline doing this only on the main page, only on the entry page, or both?

    Thanks.

It does it on the main page but not on the page where you go to leave a comment.
