Growth Of A Weblog

A Look At Traffic Trends

Those of you who dislike the "meta" posts about Portland Communique itself should skip this item. But we thought there might be at least some readers who would have an interest in this.

Back when we recently ran some statistical reports for use in our year-in-review post, we noticed overall figures, but we for some reason didn't even register the actual growth trends here in terms of traffic, since the site first launched.

It's one thing to note that during the period ranging from this site's launch on December 21, 2002, through December 31, 2004, Portland Communique generated 1,454,976 pageviews, for an average of 1,962 pageviews per day. But it's another thing altogether to look at just how we got there. What follows is a brief visual tour, representing pageview data as generated from our server logs via Analog.

(Note: There are a couple of weeks in both December, 2003, and February, 2004, which are missing data.)

Congrats on your stats.. I looked at analog.cx for stats. Looks good for a simple setup. In combo with Report Magic (also free) it'll report on referrers too..

    Thanks for the tip!
