Quick Notes Before Burnside Bridgehead Workshop

Open House On Proposals This Evening

This evening is the public workshop on the three proposals for the Burnside Bridgehead redevelopment project. In advance of that, we figured it was a good time to make sure to pass along three items in particular.

First, Randy Gragg's column in The Sunday Oregonian looked at each proposal, and in a broad sense shares our own view that the Gerding/Edlen proposal is not worth much, the Opus Northwest proposal has some interesting elements, and the Beam Construction proposal is the most intriguing.

Second, the Burnside Skatepark weblog posted its coverage of last week's presentations today.

Finally, as promised, the Portland Development Commission has posted the presentations themselves on the Bridgehead project website.

Tonight's public workshop, according to PDC's website, is still scheduled for 5:00 PM at the State of Oregon Building, located at 800 NE Oregon.

It will be a travesty if Portland builds a Home Depot such that it ruins the Skatepark.
