An Overdue, Quick, And Dirty Campaign Round-Up
Links, Links, Links, And Very Little Comment
Having fallen spectacularly behind in providing our campaign round-up items, we have something like a week's worth of material to link, minus a couple of items on Mayoral rolls which we addressed in a separate item, so let's get it over and done with.
On the final Thursday in September, The Portland Mercury reported on their final "You Promised!" forum, which focused on what the candidates for Mayor and City Council had to offer on the subjects of livability and police accountability.
There was a City Club debate between Mayoral candidates two Friday's ago. Readers will recall we recently referenced it as representing the breaking point in our frustration with both candidates.
A week ago Saturday, Tom Potter appeared on the new KGW public affairs show called Viewpoint, which continues (as near as we can determine) to have utterly no presence whatsoever on the stations' website.
This past Monday, The Oregonian examined the possible shift in business attitudes towards the Mayoral candidates.
A few days ago, Willamette Week asked Jim Francesconi three questions, and offered an item on the candidates for City Council and lap dances.
And finally, this past Friday's "City Matters" looked at the relationship of Francesconi and Commissioner Erik Sten, possible challenges to Sten's seat on City Council, and some gaffes from the campaign trail.
