The Rose Feh-Stival
It's that time of year again. There's nothing especially new to add this year that we didn't already say last year, although it's amusing to turn on the television and see how many people came out in the semi-rain to watch the Starlight Parade.
So anyway, while last year we simply linked to the lyrics of the traditional song, this year we'll actually provide them in full right here.

they asked me to come down and watch the parade
and to march down the street like the duracell bunny
with a wink and a wave from the cavalcade
throwing out candy that looks like money
to people passing by that all seem to be going the other way

tripped over a dog in a choke-chain collar
people were shouting and pushing and saying
and when i traded a smoke for a food stamp dollar
a ridiculous marching band started playing
and got me singing along with some half-hearted victory song

the trumpet has obviously been drinking
because he's fucking up even the simplest lines
i'd say it's a sight that's quite worth seeing
it's just that everyone's interest is stronger than mine
and when they clean the street i'll be the only shit that's left behind

Passing by KGW just now and managed to catch something a little surreal. There was a float going by and now I have to ask: Will the FBI be investigating the Al Kader Shriners?

No doubt, they already have. That is possibly the funniest thing I have seen in the last 3 days..... no make that 2 1/2 days.. good catch... that is too funny..... I think they're up to something if you ask me.... They look dangerous.... they could be concealing WMD's in those hats of thiers...... that's where those damn WMD's are at....
