(Updated) The Polls Are Closed, Here We Go
Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.
KGW is already airing a promo for their morning newscast, saying that Jim Francesconi and Tom Potter will be on hand to discuss what sets them apart. That's obviously another sign reinforcing the idea that we're headed into a November runoff.
Update
KGW also has Mayor Vera Katz on, discussing the need for candidates to offer up specifics and present a clear vision for the City's next ten years.
Also on KGW, they are projecting Randy leonard winning his City Council seat, as well as Maria Rojo de Steffey and Lonnie Robert winning their County Commission seats. In the Commissioner No. 1 race, both KATU and KGW have approximately a 40%/30% split between Nick Fish and Sam Adams, respectively, with Jason Newell at around 10%.
Update
Lisa Natio at this early stage is also leading in her County race. And in the mayoral race, Potter is leading Francesconi at around 41% to 38%, with Busse at around 6%.
Update
Still within the first 15 minutes of returns, Michael Schrunk is obviously running away with election to his District Attorney seat, but at the same time there are a little over 2,000 write-in votes, which won't get broken down into individual numbers during these returns. We'll have to ask for that break-down later.
Update
Also, Measure 26-53 is winning at around 63% to 26%. Stupid voters.
Update
Continuing within the first 15 minutes or so, turnout is being listed at about 40%. And Jim Spagg has received nearly 500 votes.

Apparently the write-in's are last on the list of priorities, won't be tallied until next week :(
