Another Annoying Piece of Self-Promotional Puffery

We have real content to get to this afternoon, so we will keep this brief. Sometime overnight we crossed another 10,000 reader milestone, bringing us to 70,000 since this site launched on December 21, 2002. As with the 60,000 mark, it took a day or two over three weeks to go through another 10,000 readers.

If we start going through 10,000 readers in less than three weeks, it might be time to stop posting about it. Or maybe we'll stop once we hit the big 100,000.

Either way, the usual thanks and appreciations go out to everyone. As a piece of trivia: We had expected to his 70,000 next week, but a barrage of Google searches for Neil Goldschmidt hastened its arrival. Which is amusing because we only posted one item about that scandal.

Congrats on the readership, your are one of the few sources out there covering the Portland polticosphere that speaks to the readers rather preaching at them, trying to be the stern teacher, the chastizing moralist or the simpleminded limbaughist.

Every good praise is deservedly yours.
