Submit Questions For Two Upcoming Mayoral Debates
One Televised, One Webcast
On the evening of April 29, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, The Oregonian and KGW are sponsoring a Mayoral debate with candidates Phil Busse, Jim Francesconi, James Posey, and Tom Potter. Or, as Thursday's paper put it, in a tiny grey box at the bottom of page B3:
For the first time in 12 years, Portland has an open race for the city's mayor. The Oregonian and KGW (8) are sponsoring a televised debate of the four leading candidates.
To submit a question for this televised debate, contact Henry Stern at The Oregonian, or through this KGW notice of the event, which points out that the media panel pitching the questions will be: NewsChannel 8 city beat reporter Randy Neves, The Oregonian city hall reporter Henry Stern, and KEX 1190 morning anchor Marie Dodds.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon of May 6, OregonLive is hosting an online debate with the same four candidates:
Worried about crime and police enforcement? Wondering who has the best vision for Portland? Still looking for the unemployment rate to drop? This is your chance to ask the questions that are important to you.
It's your city. Get the answers to decide who you want to run it?
To submit a question for this online debate, fill out the online form at OregonLive.

I invite readers to pose these questions to me personally, as I have not been invited to participate. brad taylor
