(Updated) VOTE OR DIE!
Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.
Time once more for the post with the faux-threatening headline. It's election day, and while seven states bother themselves over the Democratic presidential candidates, we here in Oregon must decide the fate of Measure 30, the tax measure passed by the Legislature but referred to Oregon voters themselves.
As I try to play catch up on any number of stories, I'll just say that I voted Yes on 30, and then turn you over to a sort of point and counter-point between Chuck Currie and Jack Bogdanski.
Me, I forgot to drop off my ballot at Pioneer Courthouse Square on my way home from the downtown Stumptown, so I still need to run to the county elections building and get that done. Speaking of which, your Multnomah County Elections Division has the skinny on results, turnout, and drop sites for anyone seeking such things.
Update
We've dutifully dropped off our ballot (remembering at the last possible moment that we only had to go as far as the Belmont Library). Meanwhile here's another item on the fight over Measure 30, this time from Emma Jeff over at The Oregon Blog.
