That Brief Bit Of Self-Promotional Puffery
Yes, it's that time again. Within the past hour, we crossed another 10k threshold, as our 40,000th reader came through.
For those keeping track (which would be, well, us), the first 10,000 were marked on May 12, 2003. The second 10,000 three months later on August 18. The third 10,000 another three months later on November 18. Lo and behold, it's another three months exactly which brings us to February 18 and reader number 40,000.
Normally we'd thank all our readers, and we of course do, but it's very, very early and we need to get ready to go have coffee before today's City Council session.

Actually, the visitor in question had their referer blocked, so I have no idea where they came from.
