Another Redesign (And Other 'Communique' Updates)
The reader will notice straight away that things here have changed again. Our old design (on the original site, not this temporary one) once again had been causing rendering issues under some combinations of browser and operating system.
So we've taken the opportunity of the continuing downtime of our proper site to do some research into a total redesign, the results of which you see before you. Before we forget, and even though credit is given in the righthand sidebar, let us make sure to thank Randy Rhine for granting us permission to make use of his spectacular panorama of downtown Portland as seen from the east bank of the Willamette River.
Meanwhile, the DSL woes continue more or less unabated. Speakeasy will be trying in the coming week to convince Covad to pursue restoration of the circuit without our having to submit an entirely new DSL order. Should that fail, a new order will be the sole remaining option. Therefore, there still is no ETA on the return of the proper and rightful version of this site.

Oy, now the Oregon Blog REALLY looks sad. When everyone upgrades, mine looks downgraded.
It's a great-looking site. Good job!
