A Revealing News Release
We don't usually pass along news releases from the Portland Police Bureau, but mischief has gotten the better of us and we are compelled to post the opening paragraph to the one that just came in:
On Tuesday evening, February 24, 2004, the traditional celebration of "Fat Tuesday" brought thousands of revealers into the downtown Portland area. As the evening progressed, Portland Police Officers broke up numerous fights and received a number of complaints from women stating that they had been touched inappropriately.
Given the bizarre tradition of the breasts-for-beads exchange, we'll give the Bureau a pass on what must be some sort of Freudian slip in the above paragraph. If you missed it, read it again.

thousands of revealers, well that certainly puts that janet jackson thing into perspective. maybe i'll have to attend next year...
