(Updated) Acknowledgment Of Design Breakage

Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.

This is just to inform readers once again experiencing design rendering issues with this site that I am indeed aware of the problem. However, I am having some difficulty tracking down just what might have changed since around a month or so ago when I fixed this design problem. I've yet to find anything in the html or css that's changed in a way to produce the current design issues.

Obviously, it's there somewhere, but it's taking longer that I (or you) would like for me to determine the cause of the problem.

So, I'm not ignoring that there are rendering issues. I'm just having difficulty fixing whatever's causing them.

Update

I continue to be at a loss. I've been running some tests on a troubleshooting page, removing the only things that are new since this design was rendering properly a month or so ago under the relevant combinations of Windows OS and browsers... and it's still going wrong. I haven't the faintest idea why it's suddenly munging itself under OS/browser combinations which functioned a month or so ago.

Update

I'm retiring my troubleshooting for the night and will resume tomorrow. Those of you hitting this site overnight can check the troubleshooting page and see if the state it's in overnight is doing anything different.

    Have you considered using a table to format out the three columns? 3 columns in CSS may be the holy grail, but it looks like it's being more trouble that it's worth here.

    (and I'm using the same old IE on XP browser that's been failing for me all along.}

    Well, except that 4-5 weeks ago, it was working in the browsers that are now choking on it. And nothing I do in terms of removing anyything that might even remotely possibly be new since then doesn't fix it.

    So it would help if the problem actually made some sort of sense. As it stands right now, it makes none at all.
