A Quick Update On Design Issues And Some Backend Weirdness

Yes, I'm aware that this site is still insisting on improperly rendering under some Windows setups. It remains a mystery to me, since these problems persist even if I restore all design elements back to their state from six weeks or so ago when it was working under those systems. So I really don't know at this point, still. In other words, ETA on addressing this is an utter unknown at this time.

Meanwhile, on the backend (of the system, not of your humble editor) I migrated from Berkeley DB to PostgreSQL today, and some things have broken. Or, at least one thing, namely the list of Active Comments in the lefthand sidebar, which now makes no sense and does not, in fact, reflect Active Comments. I'm awaiting word in the Movable Type support forums as to the possibility of a fix for this.

For what it's worth, those of you under various Windows/browser combinations who are once again having site rendering issues, click here to see a page that removes all content from the three columns and tell me if they render Left/Center/Right across the page, or do something odd. If they do something odd, there's a total mystery at hand, because the html and css for handing the boxes themselves rendered fine six weeks ago. The issue has to be in the content somehow, somewhere -- so if the troubleshooting page still does soemthing wrong, then there's no rational explanation for what's going on.
