(Updated) Update And Info For Searchers

First off, a temporary host for this domain's email has been found (thanks to Pudding Time!) -- so email to the usual email address should be up and working again. The contact link in the sidebar now points to that address.
Secondly, I notice in the activity log many people using the search box on this site for subjects I have indeed written about. These searches will only lead to disappointment, however, since they only access this temporary site, and not all of the context from the actual site, which remains offline until some time next week.
These searchers might want to try doing a search for their search terms over at Google, but adding "+site:communique.portland.or.us" (minus the quotes) to the search box. That will search Google's database for PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE. When the results come up, don't click the link you'd normally click to bring you back to this site, but Google's "Cached" link for the result you want to see. That will let you see Google's cached copy of the page in question, and perhaps will be of some use to you.
My continued thanks for bearing with me in this annoying little downtime period. As said before, barring some other issue cropping up, we should be back to "normal" at some point next week.
