Lurking At The Leadership Summit 2003
So here I am, sitting amongst a large crowd of what are either actual bigwigs or wannabe bigwigs, at the Leadership Summit 2003, being held at the Oregon Convention Center.
To be honest, I'm mainly here to see the presentations and discussions about the so-called "Brand Oregon" effort, which you can read about in today's Oregonian, and about which I'll write later on today.
Here at the Convention Center, they have wifi service available. Not free, of course. I'm paying for a day-pass. So I'll likely be in and out today, either catching up on other stories that need posting, or checking in from the Summit.
For now, I'll just say that it's surreal being in a room full of people who are either fairly powerful or influential, and those who at least consider themselves to be, as I sit here on a platform at the back of the room (it's where an outlet is), with at least one person who keeps checking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing.
