Community Budget Forums Planned For Next Month
Through the auspices of the City's Community Budget Center, a short series of forums (under the umbrella of "Your City, Your Choice") will be held during January 2004:
Your participation in these forums helps ensure that community concerns are considered in budget discussions and decisions before the budget is published. At the Community Forums, neighbors will take part in round table conversations with the directors of City bureaus and City Commissioners.
You can also submit questions and input online, find answers to common questions about the City's budget (including an introduction to the budgeting process which speaks to the "different colors of money" to which the Mayor is fond of referring), read previous reports from "Your City, Your Choice" processes, or study the current budget of the City of Portland.
