Come Celebrate One Year of 'Portland Communique'
Down but not quite out, and despite the changes coming for its second year, it's just about time to mark the first year of The One True b!X's PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE. This anniversary arrives on Sunday, December 21, and to commemorate the day, I am issuing an invitation.
While none of this is going to be organized, as such, and no official arrangements made, I will be spending the afternoon of December 21 -- specifically, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM -- at the downtown Stumptown, located at SW 3rd and Ash.
There are no plans, no activities. Just an open invitation for readers to come by, check in, have some coffee, and hang out. In addition to the general readership, I invite any of those readers from the worlds of local media, local government, and local political races to stop by as well.
No one will force it to become some sort of makeshift one-afternoon coffee klatch salon, but stranger things have happened. If nothing else, such a turn of events would help make it something other than a chance to call attention to myself.
See you there.
