The One True b!X's PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE - Year One (Volume I)

In the end, this is meant more for myself (and likely members of my family), but it's also a way to mark to forthcoming one year anniversary of The One True b!X's PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE.

Pictured above is the front cover of the first publication from PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE Press -- specifically, the first of an intended two-volume set presenting the first year of entries here. Reader comments are not included, both for potential copyright reasons and because Cafepress has a page limitation by which, as it is, I could only abide by splitting the year into two volumes.

This first volume is 509 pages long (the entire year will probably come in at close to 1000 pages in total), including the standard title page and introduction. It's more expensive than any casual reader here will want to pay. That's what one gets when one uses a true self-publishing print-on-demand service which requires no up front fees.

In the coming weeks, expect to here more about what PORTLAND COMMUNIQUE Press is going to be doing (no, it's not just for vanity publishing, so stay tuned), as well as possible plans to mark the first year of this site on December 21.

Of course, clicking the link isn't working now, since Cafepress shops server appears to have gone down or suffered some sort of error.

Also, that pick for Genre ("essays and criticism") is pretty much the only option t hat even comes close, even though it's not correct. Just FYI.

I look forward to seeing the finished, comprehensive product (the first half-year, anyway) cuz it'll be interesting to be able to track Communique's development all in one piece. Seems to me others (like politicos/bureaucrats) ought to be interested also in order to see (if interested in an objective look) how Portland's fared overall under their handling (or mishandling). In any case, it's a good idea. Glad you pursued it.
