Quick Roundup Of PUD News

Missed getting around to passing along a trio of items from Friday's Portland Tribune as I've been busy with the operating system upgrades for my laptop. I'm not going to into any detail here, for the the sake of at least keeping up with things, here's what was in last Friday's paper.

First, there was an overview of the PUD battle, described as a David and Goliath fight where David is likely to lose this time around. Then, former Portland mayor Bud Clark comes out against the PUD, partly using PGE's misleading "it will raise property taxes" scare tactic. Finally, a member of the Oregon Public Power Coalition defends the PUD proposal.

Meanwhile, the laptop upgrades are mainly finished. Other than what will likely be a necessary trip to see a doctor about this nagging chest cold, things should begin to return to a more normal routine here this week.
