(Updated) Mayor Katz Asserts City Council Not Interested In Revisiting Open Reservoir Replacement Project

Note: This post has been updated. Any and all updates appear at the end of the original post.

In this afternoon's OregonLive chat with Vera Katz, the Mayor attempted to put to rest any hope on the part of burial opponents that the issue will be revisited.

Despite Phil Stanford's repeated attempts to claim some sort of inside information that either Commissioner Saltzman or other members of the City Council are becoming skeptical, the Mayor had this to say: "I have talked to the commissioners to try to ascertain if any of them are particularly interested in opening this issue up again, and the answer is no."

"They may have wished that it would have been done differently," the Mayor added, "but at this point I think the issue is ... resolved as far as the Council is concerned."

Update

Major lack of clarity with that last paragraph. The "they" she refers to are burial opponents, not members of the City Council.

Interestingly enough it seems Vera's version and the Oregonian's version on the hishspeed chase and shootout, are different. She says it started around 3am, while the Oregonian puts it 12amish. Hhmmmm. Not that I think Vera is hiding anything, I just wish she seem to be as detailed oriented as the Oregonian seems to be.
