Bandwidth Improves For 'Communique' Server

Things should, in theory, be about twice as speedy here as they have been. Bandwidth for Speakeasy DSL accounts was due to be upgraded in the next few months anyway, but simply by agreeing to another 12-month contract (which I would have done anyway), my connection has already been upgraded.

In theory, the previous uplink here as 128 (with a downlink of 608), although in practice it rarely broke 105 or so. Currently, the theory holds that we should be seeing 256 (with a downlink of 1500), and I did just manage get 249 through a bandwidth test.

At any rate, I suspect some readers will be noticing at least something of an improvement in load times here.

    Hey, b!X,

I'm on speakeasy, too, but never heard anything about an upgrade... got a pointer? I'm at 1.5/128 right now, and I was kicking around ordering an upgrade but now I'm curious to see how it might happen anyhow.

I didn't even know they had a 1.5/128 tier. Their website lists 1.5/256 for all their normal packages, which is what (as I understand it) everyone will be upgraded to anyway by the end of the year.
