Today's Event Reminder
I'm not going to bother putting this into the Events category, since the original notice is already there. This evening is the "black-tie optional" shindig at the Hollywood Theatre put on by the Oregon Bus Project, featuring the 2003 Great Defender Award honoring John Kitzhaber, and the premier of Saying Something ("talking about progressive values, engaging people in their communities, and the future of our great state").
The main event -- tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door -- is from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while an additional $20 gets you into the jazz reception with Kitzhaber at 5:30 PM and the "after party" at 9:00 PM.
Despite my making sure to post this reminder, and despite always keeping an eye out for an excuse to swank up in my suit, I still don't know if I'm going to make it to this, since even $10 would stretching the finances at the moment.
