'Portland IMC' Report on Lars Larson
There's an amusing read over at Portland Independent Media Center about a local forum involving Lars Larson. I just wanted to point out this bit:
He repeated this false notion that these protests were a failed attempt to convince people that the war was wrong and further exhibited his ignorance about the purpose of civil disobedience when he said that the protests would of been much more effective had the organizers put one person with a sign on every street corner in Portland, rather than inconveniencing the majority of the city.
It seems that Larson, or someone on his staff, either reads the newswire at the local IMC, or reads items here at the Communique.
Okay, so there's little doubt that if it's either of the above, it would be the Portland Independent Media Center that Larson or his staff checks out. It is, after all. the best place for him to look for activist news that will piss him off.
Nonetheless, I found it worth noting.

I've enjoyed reading your blog as an Oregonian currently exiled in the SoCal wastelands. I'm wondering if there has been any recent word on the status of Mike Hawash. I wrote an entry about why I consider the FBI's actions to have violated the Federal Code, but I've read no hard news about the Hawash case for several days.
