'Oregonian' Mentions This Site
Well, the reporter never did get back to me about when the piece was slated to appear, but I see that The Oregonian has its article on weblogs in today's edition, although it hacks the word into the two-part "web logs" instead.
Newspaper coverage is always surreal, because one's conversations with reporters are almost always far more wide-ranging and complex than will ever actually end up in print. I've rarely been outright misquoted (and indeed I am not misquoted in this piece), but it's always difficult not to think about everything that simply won't be utilized.
At any rate, I and this site are down near the end.

Of course, The Oregonian made the now-cliche mistake of choosing to list a bunch of well-known non-local weblogs, complete with URLs, in a sidebar -- rather than providing a handy guide to all of the local sites mentioned in the article itself.

so, write a letter to the editor and list all the local ones.
