More on the 'Tram 4'

Also in today's Tribune is a brief look at the four arhitectural firms selected to compete for the OHSU tram project. The only item I want to pull out for specific mention here is this:

The jury will select a firm based on a 15-page narrative of the design problem to be solved and how it fits into the context of the community, [Gordon] Davis said.

Davis is president of the non-profit Portland Aerial Transportation Inc. which is handling the competition (and for which I still cannot find a website).

Hopefully, these narratives will be open and public during the deliberations of the panel which will select the winning firm. It seems like a very accessible way in which to get a real sense of how each firm is going to approach such a controversial project.
