March for MLK
Take a look at this item posted to Portland IndyMedia Center to get the details for the 11th annual Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration, brought to us by Sisters of the Road Cafe:
Drawing on Martin Luther King Jr.'s attention to issues of poverty and inequality, and his fervent anti-war activism, this March celebrates the persistence of those who advocate for peace and social change through non-violent political activism.
The public is invited to join either March and/or the celebration. Refreshments will be provided and all parts of this event are free of charge.
There are two marches, from opposite sides of the river, gathering at 5:30 PM, marcing at 6:00 PM, and converging at the Portland Conference Center at 7:00 PM.

For what it's worth, if my cough can withstand going out this evening, I will likely try to be at the march leaving Sisters of the Road Cafe at 6:00 PM.

Okay, attendance at both the march and the celebration called on account of cough.
