600+ Surround Reservoir
That's according to a story in today's Oregonian:
Several hundred protesters ringed Mount Tabor's lower reservoir on Southeast 60th Avenue to show city officials they disagree with a $76 million plan to bury two large reservoirs at Mount Tabor Park and to cap two less-exposed reservoirs in Washington Park. Organizers figured it would take at least 600 people to fully encircle the reservoir, and at least that many clasped hands and hooted protest slogans across the water just after noon.
There's some to-the-point coverage of the opposition's contention that the process has not been open to enough public participation or scrutiny.
