Dearest Stumptown
In honor of their Belmont location being open this morning, thereby saving me from the dismay over their Division location three blocks up from me being closed, I hereby bequeath to Stumptown Coffee Roasters an ever-so-slightly revised version of the following prayer:
Hail Juan
Full of grace
The Bean is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among Stumpies
And blessed is the fruit of Thy agriculture
Coffee.
Holy Juan
Father of *twitch*
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our final cup.
Amen.
A note for historical purposes: This prayer was originally written in the early-to-mid 90s as pennance for some transgression I had made in the Coffee forum at MindVox. I had been sentenced to say "twenty Hail Juans" and dutifully went off to compose such a thing, which I then posted twenty times. The only change between that version and this one is the replacement of the word "Voxers" with the word "Stumpies" in order to place it in its new proper context.
